CITY OF HORNSfruit of the moonCD (2000) Schwa-Disk COH-10 2 songs, 60 minutes The Birth of SleepThe Death of Finance |
Recorded live to 2-track with no post-mixing or over-dubbing, Fruit of the Moon is a highly accurate representation of the City of Horns concert experience. Conceived as a tribute to Terry Riley's Poppy Nogood performances and the Fripp & Eno No Pussyfooting album, two 30 minute improvisations combine Casio bloops and bleeps, ultra-grainy samples, tinkling pianos and Roy Montgomery-esque guitar drones into a spell-binding curtain of pure sound manipulation.
