THE
WAYWARD WIND

"interstellar
folk music" Joey Sweeney, Philadelphia Weekly
A loose collective
of musicians, painters, dancers, and writers. A studio-bound
vanity project too terrified to set foot onstage. Thirty-five
collective years of sonic research collapsed into one magic moment.
The sound of a train whistle at two in the morning. Your new
favorite band of the year.
These are not mutually
exclusive propositions.
The Wayward Wind's
line-up is enormous, undefined, and constantly changing. Odds
are good that you've been a member at some point, although you
might not have known it at the time. The Wayward Wind brand name
has been spotted on several compact discs, a few unpublicized
installations, a failed line of children's clothing, and a dance
concert. Future plans include a weekly television show, an experimental
community garden, the formation of a local curling league, and
still more compact discs, all under the collective Wayward Wind
family of goods and services.
